Albuquerque Sunport Penthouse Redesign

The project includes refurbishment of existing equipment and ductwork within 11 mechanical penthouses located on the landslide side of the airport’s Terminal Building identified as Penthouse Nos. 1 through 8, 9A (East), 98 (West), and 16 (Old Kitchen). The supply air handlers and return air fans within each penthouse will be modified to include new chilled and hot water coils, the associated piping, fan change out, damper repairs, controls, discharge ducts, etc. The work will be generally limited to the penthouses floor line and above, and will be tested and balanced to meet the CFM demand of the system. The project will include the supporting electrical for the upgrades and the connection of new equipment, structural reinforcement to support the mechanical equipment, and enlargement of existing floor/wall penetrations.
